Default trillian being a jerk

I went away for the weekend and when I came back I found that trillian was disconnected from my AIM accounts. It refuses to reconnect. I made a new screen name and it won't conect to that either. I even installed trillian on another computer and it won't connect to AIM there either. I even got GAIM and IT won't connect. The worst part is, my brothers computer (which is connected to the same router as the other two) is connected just fine. Has anyone else been experiencing any problems with trillian lately?

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

no, I used to swear by Trillian but had problems with sounds....as in it stopped making sounds when people would IM me and stuff....switched to GAIM about a month ago and have been very happy.
It sounds like you may want to look at your router as an issue. I've had problems like the one you are describing and it almost always has to do with the router

I used to use trillian as well but I got fed up by it so I switched to GAIM. I've been using it for well over a year now and I've had no problems with it.

I love Trillian but the only thing I don't like is how it doesn't update people's display names when they change. Other than that, I'm not sure what could possibly remedy your problem. Maybe try uninstalling the whole program and reinstalling it? What about the regualr AIM? Does that work?

YES! Thats what pissed me off the most. It doesn't update names! GAIM has some issues with that as well.

I tried uninstalling it, deleting the entire folder, and then reinstalling it but it didn't help. I finally just put up AIM express and went to bed. When I woke up this morning trillian decided to start working again.....
I hate it when stuff doesn't work without explanation!

HAHAHA, that's always frustrating. At least you're back online now though
