setting up home network

hey im having some trouble setting up a home network. i have 2 pc's running XP home and theyre connected to a router. how can i set up a network that will allow me to transfer files from one computer to the other?

I wish I new how to do it specifically because it would make it much easier in the long run. But when I was in the same situation I just ended up doing an FTP setup between the two computers on the same router. Worked pretty well.

thanks one4yu2c. i still couldnt get it to work >.< but that guide was awesome. i actually saw the other computer on the network, but i couldnt access anything. ill look over that guide again and give it another shot

Do you have ZoneAlarm running, or another software firewall? If so, you'll need to put the two PCs into a trusted zone (which I can walk you through).
