Default Router/Adapter Question

Hey, I was wondering if I have a 54Mpbs Router would work on a 108Mpbs Adapter.. and, would it work with a 'RangeBooster' Wireless Adapter as well?

The 108Mpbs I was looking at was this adapter

SilverStone Strider 560Watts
AMD Athlon 35+ 2.2GHZ AM2
Asus M2NPV-VM MotherBoard
Western Digital Caviar 160GB 8MB BUffer
Kingston ValueRamDDR2 667Mhz 1GB (KVR667D2N5K2)

FEATURES:
  • Utilizes WEP and WPA, providing a secure access to your network.
  • The WDA-1320 meets IEEE 802.11b/g specifications, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of wireless networks and devices.
  • Includes a Quick Setup Wizard that simplifies the installation process and helps you quickly connect to a network.
  • System Requirements: Win2000 SP4/XP SP2, 20MB Hard Disk Space, 32-Bit PCI Slot
Yes, it should work with no problem assuming your current wireless router meets the 802.11b standard. The card you are looking at meets 802.11 b/g so things should work fine. Your maximum bandwidth would remain 54 Mb/sec (the router) but it would work. What is your current router?

Ron's right. But that adapter you linked shows it to be 54Mbps and you said your router is the same (making them both G). So am I not understanding something or is the link wrong (or maybe changed?)?

T he 108Mpbs one I am looking at was this one (I've now changed the link, I guess I did get the links wrong)

My current router is the Speedstream 6XXX (I don't exactly remember the current numbers, but I think it was 6250, and I can't check right now because my sister is sleeping and the router is in her room)

I was also planning to buy a router.. but that.. will be later this year.
