Default Portable Firefox

Last night I bought a 1gig Pen Drive at the PX for $12. With drews recommendation I downloaded and installed the portable apps menu with portable firefox. I took it to work with me today and for the first time was able to use FireFox at work. I have to say that is very cool, and I am now wondering why I never did it earlier.

I also have to say that having portable OOo (OpenOffice.org) Is very cool too. The best feature is converting word documents to PDF files. Comes in very handy if your on a computer at work or school that doesn't have Adobe Acrobat installed and you need to create a PDF. I run into this all the time at work, and what I have been doing is printing the document and then digitally sending it to myself. But with OOo portable I can do it right at my desk, with out going to the digital sender (like a fax machine except it sends an Email with the document attached as a pdf) down the hall.

No you can't install unauthorized software on a Government Computer.

If I could do that I would have installed PrimoPDF and Firefox, among other things along time ago.

I always use Create PDF Online free, PDF API, PDF .NET Server, Consulting. I have to convert Publisher files to PDF once a month for the library I do computer work for, and it seems to be the easiest method without installing any drivers, which I don't always have permission to do.

Yes I know about that too, it's blocked on my work network. Again guys thanks for offering solutions to a problem I already fixed LOL.

The cool thing about the portable Apps on your USB Key is your web surfing history is stored on your USB key, not the computers hard drive.
