Stop the messenger service?
Start->Run
"services.msc" without quotes, press OK.
Right click "Messenger"->Properties.
Stop, then start mode to Disable.

Service Pack 2 disables messenger service by default.

If you have adaware se, be sure to check if you have the AD-WATCH running down in the task bar. If so, just right click the icon in the task bar and click the unload ad-watch.

A lot of times this app will pop up telling you, you have errors and stops the game, program, or app from loading until you accept the software!

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

That's actually odd behavior to immediately follow an Ad-Aware installation. Where exactly did you download it from? There are some fake versions out there, that if downloaded from the wrong source, you could actually be infecting your system rather that the intended opposite.

This is where you should be looking ---> LINK
