Default I must be retarded

I just installed windows xp on my desktop and got everything running except my wireless. I set up a password protected network and can't remember the password. It automatically fills it in for my laptop so I never think about it and now I think I need to change it or reset it, but can't figure out how.

you need to reset it in the router.
that is where the password is stored.

Like through the management tool, 192.168.2.1 address thing, because the password for that I can remember, but my wireless network password shows that it has more charcters than that.

yes, you have to get into your router's managment console and change the password for your wireless netowrk.

Yep...you should have it set up for 128bit encription, which is 26 characters long. You should be able to set it up for auto, where the router sets the characters, or manual in which you can pick the 26 characters. Usually auto is best, because the router will pick several numbers and letters that are dang near impossible to copy for hackers.

I read the title of this thread and thought to myself, Self -"WhooHoo! Finally a club I'd fit in well with!"

Then I read it was just a wireless/password issue.

Anyone want to start an on line club for us retards with me?
