Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 RC made available

If you like betas, you'll love to hear that team Mozilla is getting ready to publish Release Candidate 1 of Firefox 2 Beta. Starting tomorrow, Mozilla is expected to officially announce the release and make it easily available to anyone who wishes to try. If you want to get it on your own before then, you can retrieve the installer for your system on Mozilla's public FTP. As with all RC releases, the goal is to have as many people try it as possible before the official release, so that bugs and other quirks can be worked out. Among a host of other things, Firefox 2 includes some very neat features such as session restoring (a feature that Opera currently has) and scrolling tabs.

Firefox 1.5 already has session restoring. I remember when I first tried Firefox 2.0 months ago. Back then, it was just a nightly build. It was the worst browser I'd ever used and I had a hard time uninstalling it because of all the bugs.

I'll try out 2.0 beta. It's gotta be better than that early nightly build.

Not a fan of beta stuff, but it's still nice to know the Mozilla team is working hard trying to improve FireFox! :thup:

Yea I have the plug in it's called tab mix plus very nice......I lOVE TABS.........Good to know about fox 2.0 U=I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

umm... I'd hate to break it to you, but Tab Mix Plus doesn't save sessions. It just adds more options to the tabs (such as a close button on each tab, etc.) And yes, I love that extension too. It's one of my favorites.

There are actually two extensions available for saving sessions. Session Saver and Session Manager.

My favorite extensions are AdBlock and GMail Notifier. NoScript is good too, but I found I didn't really need it...

I'll be waiting, I just fixed those annoying "leaks" in 1.5 so I don't want to hop on the 2.0 bandwagon just yet.

Cool people also use those extensions;
