| OK guys, got my power supply situation taken care of and I've got the q6600 (GO stepping). Looks like my stock Vcore is 1.28. 1. Whats a healthy Vcore for hitting 3.0 or perhaps 3.2...which is what I'd like to get. I'd like to keep my temps under 60 (for the 3.2) if I can...If not, I guess I'll have to live with 3.0. Same motherboard as in signature. 2. I can keep the other settings the same as when I OC'd my e6600 can't I? Like... FSB --1.4, MCH--1.55 and ICH--1.05 thanks Antec 900 Q6600, GO stepping, 3.21 MHz P5w DH Deluxe Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro 512mb 2 Gb OCZ platinum revision 2 DDR2 6400 800hz OC to 892mhz Lapped Zalman 9700 nt 150gb raptor 320gb seagate PC Power & Cooling 750w PSU (2) lite-on 20x dvd burners 22 inch HP w2207 monitor. :ridinghorse: |

| Well quads put out alot of heat. The zalman may be able to handle it. As for vcore, all processors are different. A G0 stepping should need no more then 1.4v to hit 3.2. | I am at 1.34 V Core and at 3.2GHZ super Stable. [CPU-Z shows it at 1.31-1.32 due to droop] Temps are 37 Idle and 51 Load. I upped several of my voltages just a tiny bit from default to ensure a stable OC. Gemini 2 AC5 Diamond Carbon heat transfer skin. [Likely only 7 degrees saved with all that work] You may need to up your South bridge voltage a tad. [Ooops ... ICH = Southbridge] Main: 3ghzQ6600, Gemini2, IP35 Pro, PC 610W PSU, 4GB 6400, XP Pro, 500GB raid 0, 22" + (2)19" WS LCD's w/ Palit 9600 GT and Dual Core Notebook. Reason: Wasn't sure which was north or south bridge. |

| Thanks fellas. Tech Geek.....forgive my stupidity, but which one is the northbridge? The MCH or the ICH and what is "a tad"? 0.05, 0.10? I overclocked before...but really, GVBlake gave ALOT of hand holding. The only thing I'm unsure of right now are the voltage settings. | .05 is a good start ... I have 2 Asus boards [P5B deluxe and Plus] The Kids mobos ... I forget which one is the Northbridge tho. FSB --1.4, MCH--1.55 and ICH--1.05 ... [This is what you have] I wouldn't take the FSB any higher, the MCH is good ... but the ICH is fine at 1.10 as i recall.
