| I raised the fsb and now my PC just goes on and off over and over, what do i do? i can't get to the BIOS to lower the fsb, cause it doesn't even get time to load anything on the screen before it restarts.... Look in your motherboard manual, there's a section about changing a jumper (often red) position on the motherboard to reset the CMOS to the initial settings. | |

| hmm, i not exactly sure what to do....this is what it says in the manual CLR_CMOS (Clear CMOS) You may clear the CMOS data to its default values by this header. To clear CMOS, temporarily short the two pins. Default doesn't include the jumper to avoid improper use of this header. how do i short the pins? | thankss a lot! it's working now ![]() ![]() ![]() but i took a look in the BIOS and it's only at 100MHz, but before i started to raise it, it was at 200MHz. Is that supposed to happen? EDIT::: I reset and had another look, and now it's at 300MHz, it's not supposed to jump around by itself is it? | The only thing i changed was the FSB. Weird. Looked at it a few more times, and kept changing values by itself..So I hit the reset to defaults in the actual BIOS. Seems to be back to normal now.![]() Intel E6320 1.86GHz Gigabyte 965P-DS3P Corsair 2GB 800MHz XFX 8800 GTS 320MB 250GB Seagate- 750GB WD Antec 900 OCZ GameXtream 700w ThermalTake Big Typhoon VX Windows XP Professional SP2 Razer Deathadder Mouse 24" Widescreen Acer Moniter |
