| Well.....I ran orthos today for about 3 hours to check on the temps. After lapping the heatsink, cpu, overclocking to 3.217, modified my case and with the cheese cloth air filters...my temps are running about 44c under load. The room is about 73-75f. idle is about 22c. I don't think the as-5 is cured good yet, so temps should only get better. I can't say I noticed any real difference before and after lapping as of yet....but I figured..."it could only help the temps". | Looks good to me. I didn't know that you could lap the CPU itself! |

I'd recommend a good aftermarket cooling solution, a good case, and overclocking in moderation. INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU | |
