Default OCing my e6600 help

Ok, I need some help with this stupid thing

I overclocked my e6600 to 3.5ghz, however it will just randomly shut itself down, I really don't understand why, then my computer will just try to turn itsself on, but shut itself off again.

When I run 3.5ghz, my Coretemp is @ 41~44 C, is that abnormal?

Oh and im using the GB 965p Ds3 rev3.3

Random reboots, shutdowns ect points to an unstable overclock, take it back or pump up the volts. (I reccomend taking it back ;) )

also that core temp sounds good for 3.5 ghz. What cooler are you useing?

Well first off, are those temperature readings taken with the computer in an idle state or under load? I personally try to keep my temperature as close to 50șC or less at all times (particularly under load). The meltdown temperature for most processors is between 65șC and 70șC.

As for you instability, it is likely just an incorrect setting or one of the components is overclocked past its capability. 3.5GHz is a very high overclock for those chips and it is likely that it is at or beyond the limit of the processor. What voltage are you running? What RAM? What power supply? Please list all the components in your system as well as your overclocked settings in the BIOS (like RAM speed, dividers, voltages, etc).
