Default Mouse skippage.. bad drivers or because of OC?

I've been noticing that every so often my mouse will cease to function for ~2-5 seconds. Its perfectly fine afterwards, just during that time it stops.

Its a Razer Copperhead 2000dpi Laser Gaming Mouse off of Woot. I spilled Pineapple juice on it a while back and I replaced one of the LEDs inside with a different color just for fun, other than that, its pretty good quality.

Is it possible that the Overclock is responsible for these lockups? Or is it just the drivers that need a re-kick in the pants?

I would say neither. I had a Logitech MX510 that I spilled coffee on... sucker acted the same way you're describing from that point on.

Well, I'd still try seeing if it's a driver issue... couldn't hurt, and who knows, maybe it'll work?

Drivers and firmware update if available. I know Razer mice "often" get new firmwares. :)

So it did it again. this time it completely cut itself off while I was in game. I had to run to my closet and get a different mouse while still playing. In most games this wouldn't matter at all, but it was a 1v1 CoH Automatch and I was blitzing as PE

So its time to buy a new mouse.
/trashed.
Logitech MX518

Just warranty it. Mine died and they were great. Sent me out a new one immediately. They didn't require proof of purchase or anything and they were very pleasant to deal with. Had a new mouse inside of a week.
