What's so funny? I had a Barton 2500+ back in the day, it was the first processor I ever overclocked (thankfully it was unlocked). I don't think I got it too high though, it was quickly replaced with a mobile 2600+ which did almost 2.6GHz on air.

My overclock via speedfan crashed so I decided to go into the BIOS and tweak some settings. I am pretty sure I am at the cap my motherboard can push, or can I go higher than 200FSB if I increase voltage? If I go higher, it fails.

Don't overclock a processor through Windows, you'll almost always get better reliability and success going exclusively through the BIOS. If your temps are within check, you can always try increasing the voltage a bit. Be careful going much past about 10% above stock though (can't remember what stock voltage was on these things).

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

IIRC, you're about at the tip of what the Barton series was capable of on most air cooling setups. At 2.2GHz, there's probably not much headroom left.

Unless I can take my motherboard beyond it's 'rated' 200 max FSB. I can go further in my BIOS, but as I said, it insta-reboots.

unless you went with mobile barton's which were cherry picked because they could run at 1.45v and had an unlocked multiplier
