Default DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL Overclocking Results

OK, so my pump is working great now. After the pump issue was dealt with and I go to turn my computer on for the first time in a couple weeks (I've been using my laptop for the time being) I can get into the BIOS again. And you know what that means... overclocking time!

Some results:

And CoreTemps AT LOAD (400x8, 1.45V):

That can't be the right temp...

I got up to 3.4GHz stable on my E4300:

Cheers!

VERY NICE! What's your RAM running at? What's the highest FSB (not core clock speed) you've gotten that board up to? I would shoot for something just over 400MHz FSB, run your RAM 1:1 and drop your CPU multi down to 8x and that would be a very nice system overclock.

Right now I have the RAM in a 1:1 with the FSB, which is at 1600QDR (400FSB). I haven't really gone over 400FSB, but I will experiment further. I'm aiming for maybe 450FSB, possibly 500FSB... that would be really nice.

This is actually a pretty good board, after you learn the BIOS. It's pretty confusing, there is this thing called "CPU VTT" which I thought was the CPU voltage, but is wasn't, something called "CPU VID" is the CPU voltage. So you get the point, it's kinda confusing, but after you get the hang of it, it's an excellent board.

So right now I'm running the CPU at 3.33GHz (370x9, 1.48v) 24/7. I think that's a pretty good OC, and I think I'll stick with it for the time being.

Is Smart Guardian displaying the wrong temperatures? On my DFI it was always as accurate as the BIOS.

I think so... there is no way in hell that my CPU is at 10C at idle... I believe Smart Guardian gets the temps from the BIOS, but maybe the BIOS is reading them wrong... I only trust CoreTemps for my CPU temps, and even then I don't really take them literally.

Damn, that was an excellent overclock... What voltage was that at? Are the Extreme CPU's really worth the extra money?

i can't remember exactly what the voltage was at. it was somewhere around 1.45v. i'm going to give 3.8GHz at 1.6v a try now.
