Anyways it's a great new toy and gives me something to strive for again :)

haven't run it yet since i don't have my GPU from EVGA yet, but from what I hear, people are complaining its not as pretty as 3DMark06, and their scores are so low its BS blah blah blah. I never did understand the point of it, i mean benchmarks are nice, but real-world experience is better imo. Also the people who whined about how its not pretty, well its suppose to be a benchmark tool, not to look pretty for your computer.

Yeah, prettyness I could care less. Could be a white screen with "benching" on it and it would be alright.
As for high scores, as long as it's precise I couldn't care less either. They're relative to other video cards performance, that's as good as it gets.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

3DMark has always been (and always will be) a GPU killer, that's whole point. I remember when I got my first system that was outfitted with an ATI Radeon 9600Pro and I ran 3DMark2001 and my system got smacked around. then I got an nVidia 6600GT and ran 3DMark2005 and the same thing happened. Then I got a Radeon X1900GT and ran 3DMark2006 and again, my system was shown the door.

So don't feel bad if your system doesn't run the tests smoothly, that's not really the point. The benchmark is supposed to put an outrageously huge load on the GPU and system so you can successfully test super high-end setups and still be able to measure a difference (if there is any).
