i really did understand that board... but by messing with it i got a good stable
3.1ghz OC with E6600... but i have to do some pretty bada$$ mod on the board by shorting some circuit to get the voltage and stuff... running...
don't get me wrong it s a good MoBo just hard to OC...
i still loving my DS3...

yeah mate, Bios version- BX97510J.86A.1478.2007.0222.1002 is the 22nd feb' 07 version that I was runninng until last night when I intalled the March version- which is the most current on the Intel site & no different in this respect.. Another guy on this site sent me a shortcut to an Intel pdf doc' entitled "Overclocking on the Intel Desktop Board D975XBX" I'll bring the shortcut back soon, but what is relavent is that the screen shot on p4 of the doc' shows stuff that simply does not appear in my bios....The bios version in the screen shot on p2 is BX97510J.86A.1209.2006.0601.1340 - which to me indicates 1st of june 06... As far as I can tell the main no' here is 1209, where on mine it is 1478, or for march 1479... I wonder if there is differences between US & AU shipped products??

So you don't have the "Default Configuration Override" option (as seen on page 3 of the PDF document you linked to) in the "Advanced Chipset" menu of the BIOS?

Hey Blake, have default config override, but once in there - have no:
1- Processor Ratio Multiplier
2- Set Processor Multiplier
3- Default CPU VID
4- CPU VID

or:

FSB Frequency Override , as viewed on p5 of the pdf...
Cheers
