Default 3dmark06 $$$

Is it worth buying the advanced or professional versions???



Windows Vista
EVGA 680i Mobo & E6600 @ 3.2 GHZ (400x8)
Cooler Master Geminii
2 x 1 GB Corsair XMS2 8500 (800 mhz) 4-4-4-12 1T

1 X EVGA 8800 GTX (575/1800)
2 X 320gb Western Digital HDD's 7200 RPM- RAID 0
Thermaltake Shark Antec True Power Trio 650W
Logitech g5 mouse & Logitech g15 keyboard
Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound

to me its not worth downloading the free version. my computer runs smoothly, and thats all that matters to me.

only if you have plenty of newer systems to test it on.. otherwise just run the free version and let it be

This is my first 3dmark06 score and i noticed it saying something about my video card which is the 8800gtx @108mhz/337mhz but the one i seen next to it says 108mhz/499mhz... Now can anyone tell me how i can improve my ****ty 8800gtx to these specs?? I have the 575/1800mhz evga 8800gtx... I coulda bought the superclocked one for an extra 40 bucks... I kno i kno ive said this before but can anyone explain to me on HOW to actually oc my video card?? I used nvidia control panel but it always says test failed when i try to increase the speeds... Is there any other program i can use to do this for me cuz nvidia aint workin. and another thing is 10,326 any good?

lol if u read the similar systems thing it says i have the lowest score of all tested systems... I want that to be a little near the fastest side... Ah can anyone give me some suggestions on ocing my video card???

3DMark06 is mostly GPU stressing. If your video card isn't limited, that is.

On ORB, take into consideration that people with comparable rigs can be running Liquid N2 cooled components, giving them a 4GHz + CPU and a GTX that runs super high frequencies. 3DMark is where the big dogs play:)

Also remember that Vista and the nVidia video drivers aren't quite mature yet and do not perform as well as the same hardware on a Windows XP machine.
