Default Is there a way to set SMP to 3 cores instead of 4?

Is this possible? Almost everything I run is single-threaded, and I'd like to play games and such without the huge performance hit. If I ran SMP on 2 or 3 cores wouldn't this solve that problem?

There's a minimal performance hit running an SMP client in idle mode on games and applications.
If you are seeing a very noticeable hit, chances are you are either running the client in higher priority than idle OR you're missing RAM for your other applications.

exactly and the default IS idle mode, so unless you change that you should be OK.
