After the riots and protests of the 60's and 70's, it seems a natural discourse for a corrupt entity that needs to stay in power to disarm it's population from rising up and speaking out, through subterfuge (not brute force) so they are none the wiser. I spent an hour explaining to a few fellow students that anything that "belongs" to the government does, in right, belong to them. That was 2 years ago, and they still can't comprehend that. |
