Default Weird Alert....anyone?

After Windows starts up....I get This pop up warning:
__________________________________________________ _______________
SmartBridge Alerts: MotiveSB.exe - ENTRY POINT NOT FOUND

The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL.
__________________________________________________ _______________

Anyone know what this is, is it important and how I can get rid of (or fix) it?

Something got screwed up...google "PSAPI.DLL". CHeck the forum entries for a solution. I have not seen this, but I guess its not unheard of.

That error apparently has something to do with downloading Internet Explorer 7 and your broadband or dsl.

Here's the fix if anyone else has this error.....

My computer----C drive-----program files---My server was SBC so I looked in the SBC self support tool folder, then----smartbridge folder---click on psapi.dll and rename it psapiold.dll and then reboot. No more error.

why not just remove the SBC software and be done with it... there should not be any reason to keep their software.... the only companies that you are forced to use their software are ones like AOL, NetZero, Juno, etc... the rest of the ISPs use a standard DHCP or PPPoE connection that windows (or Linux or Mac) can handle without extra software.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Well, since I'm not to advanced....I didn't know you could do that. I looked on the internet and the responses that I seen, no one suggested that. all the one's I googled said to just rename the file. I guess it would work.

I'm glad you said that...because I bought a router to hook up two pc's to my dsl connection and the instructions I was reading said I had to remove that PPoE software because it wouldn't work with the router. Glad to know I don't need it to run dsl.
