on my 160GB HDD i had 3 partitions

1) windows/programs 50GB
2) vista and all media (music, pics, etc) 50GB
3) other stuff (downloads, documents, etc) 50GB

no, it doesnt equal 160GB, but u all know a 160GB doesnt have a full 160GB capacity;)

i recently moved all the stuff from 2/3 to an 80GB, and it all went well.

i used partition magic to get rid of #2 and 3, and merge it with #1 (i was gonna redo all partitions and reinstall vista)

i had used a boot program (forgot the name at the moment) through vista to allow xp/vista dual boot, so i knew something was gonna happened to that boot file. i started Recovery Console through the XP installation CD, and i ran FIXBOOT, FIXMBR, and transferred the necessary NTLDR files, no luck.

so, i installed XP on the 80GB HDD, so i could access needed files from the 160GB through the 80GB. yes, i had password protected my account (of course), so i cant access my "Jonathan" user folder so i can get to my documents and backup all my gamesaves (yes, the important stuff.

i need to do ANYTHING TO ACCESS THAT USER FOLDER!!!

thats the SOLE purpose of me wasting my life to install XP on the 80GB. i dont need to back anything else up other than those gamesaves, since i have nothing on the HDD cept windows and programs (and GAMES). the only one i can save is my Call of Duty 2 since the gamesaves are in the Program Files folder "players", and ive already done that.

PLEASE this is URGENT!!!

i think i may have found a solution...

ill keep posted.

sorry if this turns out to be a "useless" post.
