| well Wii's native gaming is 16:9 and at least 480p is something until they release some upgrades. either way, the games and gameplay is what im after. any suggestions? ANY solution is acceptable if possible with a 19" Widescreen monitor and 7950GX2. thanks. |

| T-Rex | I'm not sure exactly what your question is, do you just want to play your Wii on your monitor? To get the best quality and virtually no lag, you're better getting a YPbPr (component) to D-SUB (VGA) converter to plug your Wii directly into your monitor. ![]() For that you obviously need a set of component cables for your Wii. You might also need 3 female-female component adapters, since the Wii cables end in a male plug and the cable you're going to get will probably also end in a male plug. A D-SUB adapter might be needed if you cannot remove the cord from your monitor. I do think this method would work, as long as your monitor can accept a 480p anamorphic 16:9 resolution (853x480). That's not fool proof at all and I can't be held responsible if it doesn't work. Something that will work for sure however, is a progressive scan component VGA box. http://www.mayflash.com/vgabox/pc029/pc029-1.htm http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...r-70-1d2s.html I'm not too sure if the sensor bar will be precise enough to play on a 19" widescreen monitor, but that is something else. Going the tuner way, HDTV tuners go for about $69.99 @ newegg. You're warned though, some brands and models can lag, which will make your game unplayable. I don't know alot of tuners with component in either, which means you'll be forced to use s-video. I beleive s-video cannot provide a 480p image from the Wii, so it's a no go if the tuner doesn't have component. |

| T-Rex | Yes, but you still need a component to VGA adapter/cable if you don't have component plugs on your monitor. And as I said, it should work as long as your monitor supports this resolution, and in the case it doesn't work because of some very mysterious reason I don't want to be held responsible. :P The VGA box is a sure way to do it however. They're aimed at people wanting to play video games on their monitors mostly so there's practically no lag (almost no signal processing). |

| yea... im gona be going with the VGA box. this would be the same config with the XBOX 360, right? those HD inputs i can use them with the stock HD cable that comes with the premium, and if my monitor supports res's for it (which it does) then it will all be fine and dandy, correct? |
