Default Static in the air!

Right now the east wind is blowing (I'm in southern California) from Arizona and stuff, and along with higher temperatures and allergies, it carries static electricity.

I'm just curious as to whether it's enough to potentially damage some components in my case, even with a static wristband.

What do you guys think? Assemble it in a sealed tiled room in my house?
I do have an air cleaner thingy that has Ionization, so I'm gonna run that tonight with my room closed.

This time of year I start having static problems too. With the temps dropping and the heat on a lot, we start shocking each other all the time. The first time I got shocked when I touched my computer, I said enough is enough. I don't have a humidifier on my furnace, so I boil a full tea kettle of water for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. No more shocking experiences!!

FYI.........I think that ionization causes more static.

As long as you make sure to grab a part of the chasis of the computer case before touching anyting else, you'll be fine.
