| Hey guys, I've got an... interesting problem. Somehow, the volume of my speakers has permantly increased. I had the Windows Volume at 67/100 before. It's at 14/100 and this volume is about the same as I had it before (same volume as when it was 67/100). Now, this is freakin' intense. I can't seem to figure out how the volume could permanently affixed higher on my speakers... I'm not really banking on a Windows problem. I did notice a fluctuation in volume the other day listening to music... normally, that'll tell me that the amp in my system is dying. | Perhaps it's not a software problem, but it's certainly worth reinstalling audio driver before checking into hardware problems. | It's gotta be the speakers now I think. Sometimes they get even louder, then quieter. On top of that, music cuts out for periods at a time. Longest cut was like 10 seconds... It's quite intermittent. Might as well buy some Zs... :) - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |

| Are these creative speakers? Mine did it too, and this is a known problem with creative speakers (or was I should say). I had to mod the volume control to fix mine. | Dell 5650 speakers... haha, yeah, they're decent though. I'm looking to move up a boatload... either Z-5300 or Z-5500... I need my own computer first though. I need a CPU, motherboard, and case/PSU. I've got everything else. :) - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |
