Default Short cable

Just started putting my new desktop together and the cable from the PSU to the 4 pin ATX connection on the mobo is too short. Cables are a bit short to begin with, and with the PSU sitting on the bottom of the case, I'm going to need about a 12" extension.

(Component list here http://forums.hardwarelogic.com/f47/...iew-12302.html )

Question? Is this the right connector for an Intel motherboard? Newegg.com - Athena Power 12" EPS (24Pin) connector Extension Cable. Model Cable-AD09 - OEM

Some use 8 pin EPS connectors.
You might need this one.

edit: Just looked at the board and it does have the 4-pin

Thanks, guys. I was pretty sure that was the right one, but I didn't want to pay extra for express shipping only to get the wrong cable. Damn, I'm mad!!!

May I suggest ordering more than one? Seriously, I ordered a few for myself, as well as a 24pin extension cable. I'll never be stuck with too short cables ever again. :D

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Too bad newegg would still stack that shipping. That's the one thing I don't like about them. You can order 1 tiny thing or 5 other things, and they all come in the same size box, but they still stack the ~$5 shipping for each item. Sometimes that makes it not even worth ordering from them if you just need a few small things.

Perhaps I'll get an assortment of them at another time, but for now $22.27 for express shipping plus another $3.99 for "rush order" was enough to spend to get a $2.99 cable!

Wowza, that's alot for a cable... but still way cheaper than what bestbuy would probably try selling it for. Lol.

Trouble is that Best Buy and Circuit City are both 60 miles away. Went to the two local computer shops. One guy said he could order it, but it would take a week or two to get it. The other said "it must be some kind of a proprietary cable" since he'd never heard of such a thing.
