| Your camera should have came with a cable to attach the camera to the computer. If you do it this way, prepare the driver software that came with the camera and you should be able to read the SD card in the camera. Another way is if you get a Card reader that will read different kinds of cards. Just take the SD card out of the camera and plug it into the Card reader in the proper slot and a prompt should pop up on your computer. |

| Typically yes, if what you are referring to is a Media Card reader... I don't know which "slot" you are referring to on your computer, so be careful where you're sticking that SD card! |

| I'm Diggin it! | Just make sure the front of the card reader on your computer has SD on it. It will probably have a few designations like SM/SD/MS/MMC and so on. Those readers typically accept more than one format of memory card. If your card reader has SD on it, just take your SD card and try to gently slide it into the slot. (All the perv's can shut up ) and if it won't go in, then flip it around. The gold contacts on the SD card will point towards the slot opening. If you don't automatically get a pop-up window asking you what to do, open the folder to view files, then go to My Computer and look for it to show up as a drive. The first time you plug in the SD card, your computer can take up to 30-45 seconds before the card is active. If you don't have a decent, free picture editing program, other than MS Paint, try Irfanview. I installed that nice little program to my memory stick and now use it on any computer I want. Very nice, basic editor/viewer that let's you do all the basic stuff with a very small footprint on your computer. ![]() Q6600@ 3.2GHz w/ CNPS9700 | EVGA 780i | 2Gb Corsair DDR2-800 | EVGA GTX 280 1Gb Video | 1x WD 640Gb HDD, 2x Seagate 400Gb HDD, 1x250Gb WD | 2x Samsung SH-203B Opticals | Antec 900 | ABS/Tagan BZ700 700W PSU | |
