| Hello all . This is my first time posting, but long time voyuer. I built a system last year and have not had a problem until recently. I have been getting the scary blue screen with the error code: Machine Check Exception. STOP 0x0000009c (0x00000004, 0x8054d5f0, 0xB2000000, 0x00070F0F). Any idea how I can fix this. Thanks all. | Understanding and troubleshooting the "Stop 0x0000009C" screen Theres what MS has to say about your problem. CAUSE loadTOCNode(1, 'cause'); The computer processor detected a hardware error and reported it to Windows NT using the Machine Check Exception (MCE) feature of Pentium processors or the Machine Check Architecture (MCA) feature of some Pentium Pro processors. You might want to get a list of your hardware together in your signature so the experts around here will be able to help you better. (sadly I'm not one of those experts lol) |

| Functional Alcoholic | also the full error code would help. Also tell us what you did just before you got the BSOD, New hardware or software you installed. Paul wrote an article in MaxPC Sept 06 issue. If you have access to it, that could help you. Or if you ask Paul real nice, he may just help you out. Last edited by Hitman; April 3rd, 2007 at 11:26. |

| I'm Diggin it! | Welcome to the HardwareLogic forums! Glad to have you here. The first thing I ask people when they suddenly get BSoD's is what software have you installed recently. The next is, have there been any hardware changes? The final question is, when was the last time you cleaned out all of your fans and heatsinks? | I'm Diggin it! | Compressed air in a can will be the best method to clean it out with. Make sure you unplug it before you do the cleaning. ![]() Q6600@ 3.2GHz w/ CNPS9700 | EVGA 780i | 2Gb Corsair DDR2-800 | EVGA GTX 280 1Gb Video | 1x WD 640Gb HDD, 2x Seagate 400Gb HDD, 1x250Gb WD | 2x Samsung SH-203B Opticals | Antec 900 | ABS/Tagan BZ700 700W PSU |

| Another way to go about it (if you have the time) is to completely disassemble your system and give everything a thorough cleaning with the air can (like I did recently). Make sure to not let the can get to the point of shooting out any of the liquid propellant - you don't want to get anything important wet. And welcome to HL! ![]() If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! |
