Default Rogers Digital Cable hooked up to a Computer!

I'm picking up my digital cable box today (woo hoo) but I need some way of hooking it up to my computer or monitor.

Whichever way, it needs to be at least watchable quality and stable. Those are my only worries after doing some reading and hearing about things like lagging and incompatibility and what not.

Thanks guys,
[Dr. V]

A TV tuner. There's several, you'll need one supporting ATSC.
What OS are you planning to use? XP has very little support for watching TV and if you got a remote chances are you'll need to hack drivers like I did if you want to use it.
Watchable quality... depends on your signal and if it's high-def.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

It isn't high-def, it's standard Digital Cable. I'm using Vista Ultimate x64.

What's your price range, this makes a big difference in what we can recommend since they range from less then $20 to over $200.

I have one of these: ... got it at bestbuy for 70 bucks though (clearance, lol). Woot has them sometimes.... it's pretty good quality. Get's a really good picture over the wireless, good enough that you can record a movie on a laptop via the wireless, burn it to dvd, pop it in a dvd player, and it's like live tv. That really surprised me... and it lets you watch tv over the internet as well, at about youtube quality or better.

It's pricey on amazon n stuff... but watch for it on woot. I've seen it for about 70-80 bucks on there several times in the past few months.
