| Hey all, My parents' computer is having fatal errors. They can't play Spider Solitaire, and it is rebooting at random. My parents say that it is the new Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, but my brother isn't listening. What is likely causing these errors ![]() My parents computer has the following components:

| Modder-ator | You pop the side off and check for dust bunny invasions? If new hardware was just added, did you make sure to install the correct drivers? Maybe check under Hardware Manager and make sure there are no yellow question marks by any of the devices. Is this a repeatable error (as in it always happens at the same time/place) or random (can happen anytime, anywhere)? |

| After doing what gvblake22 suggest you mau want to have a lookie in the event viewer logs files. Since they are getting fatal errors there is a good chance they will show in the log files. Right Click My Computer and choose Manage. In the Computer Managment Dialog Box in the Left Pane click and expand System Tools and Event Viewer. Click to hilight System and Application (one by one) and look for RED X Errors in the Right Pane. Double click an error to learn more about it. Also as was mentioned. When things strat going wrong after installing new hardware or software it becomes a suspect culprit. <EDIT> Beyond Fatal Error are we seeing any error codes? Numbers? </EDIT> Ron Last edited by Reloadron; May 16th, 2007 at 01:28. |

| Functional Alcoholic | After you do what Blake and Ron suggest, take my suggestion. If these errors started after the BT KB and Mouse were installed then it is most likely your culprit. I would uninstall and disconnect the BT, and plug in a wired KB and Mouse, and see if the problem goes away. It's more then likely a BT driver issue. |

| Blake: It is a random error, and there are no yellow question points. Ron: No error codes after fatal error. Under system I found an error with this code after I chose its properties: 100000d1 and another had the code 00000024. Any idea what they could mean? Hitman: I noticed they have a wired mouse in as well. Could that be causing problems? |

| Functional Alcoholic | No I wouldn't think so, you can have more then one mouse connected at the same time. |

| It was 1.5 times the size. Now it's set to system managed, so it should fix itself...I hope. Last time it crashed, I sent the created error report to Microsoft. According to web page that popped up afterwards, it's something they haven't found a cure for yet. ![]() |
