Default OMG I HATE THIS MY COMP Keeps Freezing

Hey guys I have a problem with my PC. When I am in the middle of doing something, it feezes and makes this weird beep song. Then I have to restart the computer and it makes like 3 beep songs and Windows doesn't start. I keep thinking the problem is caused by the video card. Earlier I posted a problem with my video card having a problem about the ATI responding thingy. I just need help. I cant do anything. It freezing and I keep thinking about the video card problem but it doesn't show a message of an ATI problem. Please help. Thanks/ ````Simon

Well what are some systems specs so we know what we're working with? Without knowing much it seems like a power supply issue.

Yeah, I agree that it may be a PSU problem. It could be the ATI drivers too. Like RangerXLT8 said, post your specs. (We prefer them to be in the signature so we can diagnose problems more quickly.)

How many watts is your PSU? Please post your hardware configuration.

A power supply issue would usually cause random shutdowns and reboots, usually not freezing; but it could still be the source of some problems.

Do you get any error messages or anything when it happens? Does it usually happen while you are doing the same thing? If so, what is it that you are doing when it happens? Also, as everyone else has mentioned, please Make A Signature per the forum rules so we can better help diagnose your problems.

Maybe get a heater to stop it from freezing?!
Just kidding, but perhaps it results from your previous driver issues, did you ever get that resolved?

Maybe its the cpu fan I touched it and its kind of hot I put a house fan to blow air into it while I use the computer. I just downloaded the latest Catalyst driver, and the freezing makes beeping sounds! I still dont get the power supply.... what does that have to do with problems.... doesent electricity just run the same?

If your PSU is not powerful enough to power your computer, or it is starting to go out, you will get system shutdowns. You probably won't get system freezes if its just a PSU issue.

You said you're are getting Beep Codes, So that probably means CPU, Memory or Video. With out knowing what MoBo you have, Iam going to guess that 3 beep codes is CPU overheating. Aim that house fan towords your CPU, and let us know if your system stops freezing. If it does, they you have cooling issues.

hmmmmmmmmmmm It doesn't freeze anymore now. lol I think I didn't put the video card in the right spots. It was in the right spot but it wasn't completely in the slots. I think that helped the freeze from stopping haha. Thanks guys but I am not sure,
