| Ok well i oc'ed my pc and it was at 50C for the first 3 weeks @ 3.5 ghz but i tried to mess around n go a bit higher... my temps went up to about 58c-60c... I went back down to 3.5ghz n now it idles at around 53c and full load at 60c... I dont know if i should reaplly my thermal paste and if i should will it ruin my cpu or fan or anything??? If i should buy a thermal paste which one should i get??? I have a zalman 9700 cpu fan... i think i messed up when i went too high n now the temps kinda stayed high... What should i do??? It's still stable at 3.5ghz but the temps are much higher... Idle used to be 38c-40c and at full load around 50c.. Well does anyone know what i can do to make my temps go back to that??? Sorry forgot to mention i was running orthos with these temperatures.... Idle right now is at 53c when it used to be around 40c and w/ orthos before it was 50c but now its 60c... | I'd go with AS5 for the thermal paste, and definately re-apply. Follow the instructions and take your time you should be fine. When you have the 9700 off the CPU, check it for flatness, the excess heat may have exaccerbated an existing problem if the contact portion wasn't completely flat (air pocket).
