Default Logitech MX1000

I have my Logitech MX1000 for like 8-9 months or so, just last week I noticed that the mouse battery LED indiator is stuck at level 2. Now it won't charge at all, tried to ensure that the cables are connected and all. Anybody here owns the MX1000 and has these problems?? I am ready to fling this mouse into the trash bin.

Check logitech, should be under warranty.

Wait, i'm not that lazy. ;P
Warranty of Logitech mouse
That's years, by the way. They do honor their warranty, i've shipped more than one mice and they always replace it without arguing.

It is very possible that the batteries are just worn out and can't take anymore, is the battery replacable?

I don't know if the battery is replaceable, the mouse is completly sealed from factory. May have to RMA to Logitech.

Just a shot in the dark, but did you make sure that the connectors aren't corroded or anything? Also, dust and stuff can get in the way, so make sure both contacts are clean. If not, good luck with a speedy RMA! =)

Yes I did check out the electrical contacts in the transmitter/charging base and it's clean even used compressed can air to blow out the dust and so on. The last thing that I double checked was the power adapter that plugs into the UPS, noticed that the adapter was cold to touch. Tried at least 3 different sockets on the UPS and found out that 2 of them were bad. It was the blasted UPS that was the problem all along. Thanks for the help guys. :D

Great!! Logictech is usually a pretty good product. I have used there corded optical mice at work and home for several years. I think I had one go bad afer a couple of months, but heck, at $8 a copy, I didn't even consider an RMA :D

Well that is great news, at least you can get your mouse charged :P
