Default laptop suggestion

ok i have a doozie for you all. i need a laptop for general computing such as internet, music, movies and school work. also battery life is of the utmost importance. now heres the catch.... it has to cost less than $700. whats your suggestions?

needs a cd burner. doesnt have to be ultra portable. she's willing to go up to 15.4" (that sounds bad ) but battery life is the most important factor

firs of all, if battery life is important, as far as I know the pentium M is the most efficient... and if no OC, than you can undervolt them too :)
also the price is lower because its not new technology anymore but still is great (pentium M architecture was the basis for the core 2 duo technology :) )

well if you are looking for the 15.4" widescreen view for under $700.00 I would suggest this Dell

Look at the inspiron 1501 with the Sempron CPU for $649.00!!!

I just bought one with the Turion cpu for 800

Oh yea, almost forgot, the battery life is about 4 hours.

yea anything above 4-5 hours battery life is looking to be over a grand or two
