Default laptop problem

I have a philips freevent x56 laptop i have blue sceen error just after windows starts up. anyway i run my windows disc to sort problem and it come up saying no hard disc drive present, i purchased a new hard drive put it in and when i run windows disc i have the same problem no hard disc drive present does any one have any idea??

If it still says that then you may have a defective hard drive controller on the motherboard itself which means sending it back to the manufacturer.

Did you verify that the drive is in properly? Sometimes the laptop drives can seem tight, but not actually be seated properly.

it is definetly pluged in properly it must be a motherboard problem
