Default HP all in one

Hooked up this HP 6210 all in one on the new build, popped in the software and started the Dload. The brakes came on,the software does not support Vista 64....o....k......so I go to the HP site looking for an update for Vista 64 bit. Woohoo!!!! found it,150 MB Dload..no probs.I Dload it,click on run and everything looks good.....NOT! It wouldnt print a test page, didnt tell me anything about the fax, scanner or copier. No icons whatsoever, and there is nothing to be found in programs. WT$#@!
I click on start and go to control panel, add printer, and see that it is listed under Lpt1...I change that to USB connection and things seemed to go better, atleast it was recognized.Went through the motions again.STILL,no icons,no nothing.I installed the diagnostic utility and everything as far as the printer is concerned,it is all good.BUT,there are no icons, nothing in programs, the fax and scanner are in deep space as well....
Anyone want to buy a pc cheap, comes with a free 6210 all in one!
I emailed HP support.:slug:

the fax is usually on the machine itself, hook up a phone line, scan a document and fax it. Sometimes when you open the top and then close it, the automated HP program comes up asking where you want to save the scanned file....
if not then you're pretty much limited to using it as a printer only.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I loaded them before posting earlier today. They didnt fix my problem. What I did find out, though,is that IE 7 may be the problem with the icons not showing with Vista 64. All I can do at this point is uninstall, and search and completely remove every bit of information from memory and disable my anti virus and try to install the item again, with the Vista updates.

Well HP came thru in a flash with a solution in less than day! I was sent 2 links: 1. to rid my pc of any and all HP printer product.
2. A link and directions to install the complete bundle for my specified product,on Vista 64 (that I could not find on the HP website) what I had found, was a link to update my item to Vista 64. Unknown to me,was,I thought I had everything removed, even searched and found nothing. I then re-Dled with the link she gave me.Everything is fine now except the test page, which is fine with black ink,but shows no color....had this problem before hand, and think it is just an adjustment in properties. When I clean the nozzles,I get good color, both black and color are new and full.
