| I got my video card installed it and the computer still won't boot. I have the 20 pin power connector in the 4 pin power connector in (this isn't the 4 pin in a 20+4 pin PSU I'm talking about the 4 pin connector that plugs into the mobo 4 pins 2 above and 2 below in the connector) the PSU only has a 20 pin main connector the video card and the keyboard connected and thats it. The keyboard was taken off a working computer and is good. I tried the video card in both PCI-e slots and get the same results. I get one long beep and all the lights and fans are working. I had all the disc drives connected earlier and they spun up but I removed them to get down to the bare essentials. This is the computer in my sig. |

2.8 Connecting the Power supply cable Connecting 20/24-pin power cable Users please note that the 20-pin and 24-pin power cables can both be connected to the ATX1 connector. With the 20-pin power cable, just align the 20-pin power cable with the pin 1 of the ATX1 connector. However, using 20-pin power cable may cause the system to become unbootable or unstable because of insufficient electricity. The ATX1 power connector is keyed for proper insertion. There are two connectors for 4-pin and 24-pin ATX power cable. The plastic clip on the power connector should lock over the plastic tab on the motherboard power connector. Is this a new build? | Yes it's a new build but the mobo was tested by capper and was good. The cpu came from bbmods and I would think it would be good but I can't say for sure. |

For example their new P965 conroe board doesn't say anywhere that you need a EPS PSU but you can clearly see the 8 pin connector on the motherboard. That manual says it will work with an ATX V2 power supply and then it goes on to tell you to plug in the 8 pin connector or it won't boot. Commodore 64 overclocked into outerspace ![]() | |

| I'm in agreeance with the others. It looks like you need an Powersupply with a 24 Pin ATX Connector. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | I don't know....I'm leaning toward a dead CPU... Is there nothing? No lights, no attempt to boot? If so, then I'm with the others....and we need to get you a good PSU.....if it tries to boot and there is nothing, my money is on the CPU INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |

| Lights work and all the drives spun up as well as the fans. I forgot to mention that I have the front connectors hooked up including the USB ports. |
