Default HDD recovery

My backup just deleted everything.. is there a way to recover all my movies?????

I've touted and continue to tout Quetek's File Scavenger. Awesome file recovery program, $49 price tag.

For a free solution, you can try Handy Recovery 1.0 (scroll down to 'freeware' button). The program has since grown to version 4.0, but the company still offers the older version free of charge.

For best results, install file recovery software to a different drive than the one that contains deleted files. Reason being, Windows doesn't truly 'delete' files, rather it marks that portion of the hard drive as free space. Every time you write to the hard drive (such as installing a program), you run the risk of overwriting any existing files that have been deleted in the past, giving you a lesser chance of a successful file recovery.

ill use the freeware one.

The drive dosn't come up on the list.
