Default Hard Drive Problem

Hi all...

I'm having a problem getting windows to recognize my Western Digital 250gb HDD it's EIDE connection and the model is WD2500JBRTL. Windows sees the drive as only 32gb. I am running an asus p5pe-vm motherboard with an intel 4 3.0ghz chip. Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

KR

Sounds to me like windows formatted it incorrectly, download swissknife

CompuApps, Inc. - Download Swissknife

and try resizing the partition to its full size (note that you won't actually get the full 250GB, it will only be something such as 245GB after formatting)

the other thing to look at is to make sure you have the jumper in the proper position. If you have the jumper on the size limiting posts, this could be the cause.
