Graphics perfomance is 1.0/8800GT

What am I missing here? My graphics rating is 1.0.The card is installed with the updated drivers. I disabled the onboard video,downloaded the graphics card drivers from disc,and then updated from the internet.Now when I reboot,go back to device manager,and onboard graphics has returned,and 8800GT is missing?

Be sure to disable the onboard graphics in the BIOS and not simply under Windows. As for the drivers, I suggest going over at eVGA website. They offer the most up to date drivers. :)

I will go into the BIOS and do that,,,,,I did however load the drivers from evga....Thanks

use PEG or PCIE, not PCI in the BIOS...
I always use the drivers from the chipset place (ATI/nvidia), not manufacturer...

This may sound stupid, but is your monitor plugged into the 8800? Thats the only thing I can think of that would make the compute default back to onboard even if you disabled the onboard

So do I normally, but eVGA often provides the latest drivers, for example 169.44 when the latest beta from Nvidia is 169.25. Nothing close to the 174.XX "hacked" for all video cards available if you look around though. :)

another thing... after you do see it in the Device manager... refresh the Performance index to make sure it is found properly

I think I have it fixed now.Everything comes up 5.9 except memory operations/sec,coming in at 5.2.I have 2GB running of ballistix.Having a hard time with the ISP tonight too...must be the crapeee weather.

On another note,the ITE onboard mobo smart guardian temp readings for the CPU are fluctuating from 23c to 26c and the chipset is 35c. But it is showing 1 fan at 1683rpm...I have 7 fans running,so it's pretty close there. System temp of 30c.

Im going to try to get a mini USB wire for my daughters camera tomorrow at radio shack in town,supposedly they have them.I will be posting pics of the 2 new builds,and also reporting temps in ICD7 thread of both rigs.

The son's build is really nice in the dark with all the bling you could want.
Mine is just a first build with a basic case but highly functional.
His was more difficult to build,but will continue that in the pic thread.
