| Well here I am, once again posting in this god forsaken forum. I thought once I had fixed my computer for the 60th time I had fixed all the problems. I haven't. Well, I heard from some friends that Firefox is better then IE7. So I switched. Now, I can't do anything that requires flash, and I want to switch back. I've looked all over. And, there's no sites that tell me how to switch FROM Firefox TO IE7. HELP. Model: K7S41GX 1.0 512 MB of Ram | ||||||||||||||

| You have to download Flash from the Adobe website. The reason I love Firefox is all the add-ons and customization options. That and I've heard IE7 has a lot of security holes and gets attacked by viruses more often but I'm not sure if that is true. | Oh. Well the problem is I'm on the guest side. So I can't install anything. But, I could set it into safe boot and go on the admin side and download it. Would that work, or no? Model: K7S41GX 1.0 512 MB of Ram | ||||||||||||||

| You don't have access to the administrator account on your own computer? ![]() Either way, Yellowhello is right, you just need to download/install the Flash player plugin and flash objects will work just fine with Firefox. If you really cannot handle getting Flash installed with Firefox, then just start using Internet Explorer again, its as simple as that. Instead of opening Firefox, just open IE and bingo, you've "switched" back. If you want to set IE as your default web browser, then you can open up IE7, click tools, then Internet Options. From here, click the Programs tab and then click the button that says "Make Default" under the "Default Web Browser" section. | ||||||||||||||

| Flash should install in safe boot. But why don't you have admin access? Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 | ||||||||||||||

| Firefox is much better and MUCH more secure than anything Microsoft put out. My suggestion: download the firefox setup file to your desktop right click this setup file and choose "Run as..." choose the second option and put in the administrative username and password let it install... when it finishes installing and you start it the first time, it may ask you to import your bookmarks from internet explorer, let it do this (this will not affect your current bookmarks in IE). Run with firefox for a few weeks and let us know what you think. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. | ||||||||||||||
