| Thanks Dread ... I use Windows XP Pro and connect to a D-Link DGL-4300 Router to FIoS home network. The profile is in my pc ... I just don't know where or what it is "yet." I sometimes need to boot from Windows PE Boot disks and typically they simply "find" my IP and nic by locating my DHCP profile ... however I have everything encrypted now from the router so they no longer see the nic or router and if I don't know the profile ... it will not automatically load so I can enter in my password to the router through WinPE. I figure there are other ways of getting into the router in WinPE ... but that doesn't install my DHCP profile ... which is required to get the network running under WinPE. I'm thinking if I know the profile then my NIC will be installed in PE and My Router will simply ask for a password ... or I can open a browser and dial in and enter the password. Either way ... I think I need the profile to have the WinPE install the network card. Geo Last edited by Tech Geek Deluxe; November 13th, 2007 at 12:50. |
