Default Computer Crashes?

I've oced my processor to 265 x 9 but it sorta crashes so i've slowly de-oced it to 250 x 9. And i crashed still. Ionno. Should i try increasing voltage? would that help at all? Its either my cpu is unstable or it came out of the crap box.

Well, when it crashes, that means it is unstable (too high of an overclock). In order to get an overclock stable you either need to increase voltage, lower the speed, or sometimes get better cooling.

What is your voltage at now? What was your previously stable overclock?

also another thing may be your memory. DDR400 or DDR500 and is it on a divider? whats the timings and voltage on that too?

DDR400. 3.0 volts on my ram. runs a 9/10 divider. Last stable overclock would prolly be 240 x 9 but i tihnk i'm gonna try upping the voltage.

Ok It ran Prime 95 for 3 hours and 16 minutes and failed. It just passed the 20k test. Temps are 26//36

I changed my fsb to 267, which is my goal for this rig. 2400ghz. I'm going to run prime now.

good luck. i would suggest putting your ram on a 4/5 divider just so it wont stress the ram as much.
those temps are very good so you might be able to add another .025v for a total of 1.525 but imo that would be pushing it

i think my ram is fine for now. However, i agree with the cpu voltage. I really don't want to push it past 1.5v

EDIT: Is there a way to test a video card for stabibility? I'm going to oc my gpu next.
