Default Comp doesn't turn on, at all.

Just put together my computer after recieving the processor in the mail. I believe I have connected everything correctly and all the parts sync together (proc and mobo etc.). When I plug it in the Power LED on the motherboard lights up and when I use the Power button on the tower the Tower Power LED lights up but the computer does not turn on, no fans no processor, nothing and I'm quite frustrated =)

If the power LED on the case turns on, but the machine doesn't turn on, that doesn't really sound right...

Don't forget the 4/8pin mobo power connector, I forgot that once, and my machine didn't turn on.

That recently happened to me with a new board. I took it out and put it on my test bench and then everything worked fine. Most likely my issue was slight bend in the motherboard (overtightened HSF maybe?) or it grounded out somewhere. If you can't figure it out while installed, pull it out and connect minimal hardware outside of the case and see if it gets going for you. If so, then reinstall it being extra careful that you have no bends and make sure you don't have any extra standoffs in the case that might ground out the mobo in spots that it's not supposed to...

Also check this out.

Have you put the RAM in the system? I'm not condescending; this has been a case on one embarassing occasion. I will not say to whom it happened ^^.

Don't overlook a bad PSU, test it on a known working system or try a known good PSU with the suspect rig. Double check ALL connections and grounding as stated above

I have the ram installed lol

well lets see, i put the psu in, then the mobo and didnt over tighten the screws

I have a 600w ocz stealthstream psu, intel mobo that came with my quad core q6600 straight from intel, 2ghz ocz ram, DVD drive, seagate HDD SATA antec 900 case

and yeah like i said the Mobo LED light is on, and when i press the Power button the power LED comes on, but then i cant get the power LED to turn off, no matter how many times i push the power button, so i just turn the PSU back off
