Default Blue Snow Flakes/Gaming/Videos??

This is for my DAD.......

As far as I know nothing has changed on his computer. He has a 8800 gts 512 mg vid card. When we load up any game that is on his system, there is "blue" artifact like squares floating around the screen, as if its snowing blue snow flakes. Only during game play or load menus.... internet explorer is fine, viewing You Tube is fine..... but when you play videos from his camera it appears aswell. I know he just bought a new 22" Samsung, and had problems installing the driver, but he tells me he has installed them now, and this problem actually started to appear on his temporary monitor he was using a week or so ago.... Is this strickly VideoCard problems?? you can almost see the pixels dancing around on the screen... all Blue.........

thanks....

I have seen this before on other cards, this is usually either the driver or the video card itself going bad.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Should I try an update the drivers to something else and see what happens?

I would try the latest drivers available, if it continues then try the drivers from OmegaDrivers.net
if it continues with all drivers then the card is likely bad and should be sent back for warranty work (if still under warranty)

- Thermaltake toughpower 700 watt nonmudular Power Supply unit.
- Corsair twinX 6400 c4 memory
- BFG 8800 GTS 320mb PCI express GPU

- Ill update and install new drivers......
- if that doesn't work, I will take the card with me home and try it in my computer and see if it does its bad thing.
- if it doesn't do it and it works fine.... then its gota be something else like a bad PCI express slot, or in fact the Power supply.

thanks guys,,,
