Default Audigy ZS Drivers

Hello everyone. I have been having problems installing the driveres for my sound card. When I first tried to install the drivers for my sound card my computer crashed (it had been sitting in storage for 10 months or so). Once I rebooted and tried again, it gets so far into the install and says that previous drivers have been installed without rebooting, reboot system and try again. I do that and get the same message. I have ran a System mechanic scan on it, Registry Cleaner, and a Driver Cleaner on it but get the same result. The sound card is a SB Audigy ZS Plat, running on XP Pro.

Are you familiar with editing the registry? When I had this problem, quite near the same as yours, I ended up going into my registry, searching for, and deleting, every key with sound blaster, creative labs and Audigy in it, and that fixed it. But if you're new to registry editing, I HIGHLY recommend you back up your important files and have an OS Install disk handy before you try it.

DriverCleaner3 should take care of this...
run the cleaner for anything titled Creative.. then retry the newer drivers

Thanks HL and Corsair!
