| This motherboard has Radeon x1250 integrated graphics, and fully supports Vista's Aero. I installed the drivers from the CD, I installed the official 7.6 drivers, and I installed the 8.xx beta drivers - tried 'em all - none of them work. I get no ATI software (i.e. in my taskbar or when I right click desktop), and Aero just won't work. Also, no widescreen resolutions show up (but they're supported with this card). This motherboard and its 690G chipset is 100% compatible with Vista - I know this for a fact. I'm just so lost as to why this isn't working. HEELLLPPPP!!!! |

| resident headbanger | do you have the 1250 turned on in the bios? Do you have the chipset drivers installed? -1 I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review |

| Well the options for the primary video device are the pci express slot, onchipvga, or pci slot. I had it set to PCIEx assuming if there was a card in that slot it would make it the primary, and if not it would make the one that is there the primary. I just set it to onchipvga so let's see what that does. UPDATE: Absolutely nothing. Last edited by [Dr. V]; July 9th, 2007 at 12:57. |

| Modder-ator | Yeah, if you are using onboard video you need to set that to "onchipvga", but that is basically what it will try to boot up first. Setting it to PCIEx, it would look for a PCI-Express graphics card, then go to the onboard if it didn't find it. As for your Aero problem, are you sure you have a version of Vista that supports the Aeroglass feature? Vista Home Basic is the only version that doesn't support the Aeroglass effect, all the others do. Which version of Vista are you running? |

| Lol I know the obvious needs to be heard sometimes, but I'm running Home Premium. None of the damn drivers are working out. Every driver is perfect and the system's running great - except the damn on-board video. I'm most definitely not getting a video card for this system - it was the whole point when I got this motherboard. |

| what i would do in your situation: -switch bios setting to "onchipvga" -reboot and download latest ati/amd drivers for your onboard chipset -uninstall all previous video drivers while it's downloading. -once downloaded i'd try the install again to me it seems like the wrong driver is running. it seems like the windows generic driver is running. always make sure you uninstall a video driver before you install another one. |

| All depends on your location! I need to grab a DX10 card eventually anyway for all my systems (sister's, dad's, mom's, my backup which is this one, and my main one). BTW I'll try what you suggested now. Unfortunately, on the ATI website it doesn't have the X1200 series listed under their options after you select Radeon. BUT for the CATALYST 7.6 driver release notes, it says the X1250 express chipset is 100% supported by said version. |

| So I did what was in the instructions by okron, and no luck. Turned out to be the exact same drivers I downloaded/installed last time, but I re-downloaded and reinstalled anyway. This doesn't look good. |
