Default SanDisk RMA

Got a 4 gig thumb drive for my Bday this year. Loved it, I was able to carry so may files on it. Using it to set up a new computer made things really easy.

I was working on my daughter's system, when I plugged the thumb drive in. Windows did it's thing, then I noticed it stopped, froze up.

I removed the drive, tried plugging it back in, now nothing was happening. Tried the drive on my other systems, it was dead.

I finally got around to doing RMA's, calling SanDisk was one of the better experiences I've had. The tech took my word for it that I'd tried the drive in other systems, didn't make me trouble-shoot over the phone.

Process was very easy. Gave them my email addy, they sent me an email to set up an inbox on their web site. They then send me emails when a reply is posted. They link you to a UPS shipping label, print it out, tape it to your package, drop it off and you're done.

They've had the drive 2 weeks, apparently they finished it, it should be arriving here soon.

Indeed.

Only good experiences I've ever had was the egg and Paypal (believe it or not, Paypal's tech support is somewhat good.... now anyways)

Peachtree's tech support (had to call them from work) is full of idiots, and I don't remember which company this was, but here's how the call went:

Him: "Thanks for calling ____________, my name is George Washington, how can I help you? " (horribly pronounced btw, this guy is Indian)

Me: "... excuse me?"

Him: *repeats himself*

Me: "Your name isn't really George Washington, is it..."

Him: "No sir"

Me: "Then what is your real name?"

Him: "*name*"

Me: "Why did you tell me your name was George Washington then?"

Him: "Well, the boss told us to tell Americans that our name was something they would be familiar with."

Me: "um, ok then........"
