Default New Bracket for D5 Pump

Don’t Let Your D5 Hold You Back!
by Mathew Miranda

The Laing D5 is one of the most popular water cooling pumps currently in the market. Known for its high reliability, high pressure, silent operation and 5 year lifetime, this pump is among the top choices when planning any water cooling system. As a D5 pump owner, I have been impressed with its performance in every way except one. The placement of the input and output connections may cause problems for some users and will eventually have to come up with creative ways to mount the pump.

The days of designing your loop to adapt to your pump are over. (UN) Designs has liberated D5 owners worldwide with its new 360 bracket! This specially designed savior will allow you to mount your pump however you want to within your case. The pump can completely rotate and then be secured in any position you want, making this invention a must have for any D5 user.

This 360 bracket will help you get rid of kinks and the need for extra tubing runs that were necessary for the stock mount. At only $18, this should be number one on your upgrade list if you own this pump.

Very nice review Mat!
I'm thinking of getting one of these myself...

One suggestion though, once you get your loop installed with this you should take a nice picture of it with the pump and bracket installed, then post it here.

thanks parker, i've got two of these installed now. i'm just waiting for a few more parts to come in (as usual) and then i'll post more pics.

i personally think this bracket should come standard with all D5 pumps. i don't think it would cost much more (if at all) to make the stock bracket the same or similar to UN Designs' model.

you could probably make your own custom bracket to suit your needs and i've seen that in a couple of systems. but considering the time and effort you would put into that option, $18 is very reasonable. like i said, this bracket allows you to put your pump anywhere you want in your loop, which is how it should be.
