Default How to fix Document path after lost (Vista)

I lost my Documents Path after disconnecting my HDD, and after looking for solution in web the only fix they can offer is to right click the Document path and clicking in properties then changing the Location tab, and which in my situation yielded a blank property tab and unmodifiable...

so hence i came up with my own solution:

Hacking the Registry: Here's how i did it for those people who have the same problem.

1. click start
2. click run then type "regedit" on the empty tab (should look like this)

Click the image to open in full size.

3. after that a explorer containing the whole Registry Editor should appear.
4. under that Registry go for HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/EXPLORER/SHELL FOLDERS (should look like this)

Click the image to open in full size.

5. then edit the following entry by right clicking it then modifying it to your desired path/location
Personal
My Music
My Picture
My Videos
it should look like this following pictures
Click the image to open in full size.
Click the image to open in full size.

6. repeat the same editing to same entry as no.5 at this location
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/EXPLORER/USER SHELL FOLDERS

7. then Log Off then Log On

now your documents are located where you want it to be.

other than that i hope i help someone like me that lost their Documents Path during change of hardware or software update...

Ps. Guys criticism is required and welcomed! oh btw i'll be flying back to Texas Ft.Sam Houston tomorrow at 0605am. i hope my flight isn't delayed or canceled due to the storm...
