Default Well I might as well ......

Hey guys (and gals). I might as well join the bandwagon here. I came across this web site while doing a google search for some video card help. I browsed this site for a little while and was hooked. What hooked me you ask? This fourm is made up of some of the most helpful, knowlegable, kind a down-to-earth people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Well I say "some", I mean all of you.

Most other forums, you have idiots that go around with their huge egos because they know more than you and really down you because you dare to ask for help with something you know nothing about. Rather then help you, they take it upon themselves to make sure you know just how little you know. I am not a **** by no means. But there are alot of areas that I am not that knowlegable in.

I have asked ALOT of questions here during the last 2 weeks and had every one of them answered in a very professional way.

Cheers to this community and it's creator. You just found a new long time member.

Now on to my into...... he hem..

Hey my name is Scott. I live in East Texas with my wife of 6 years, my son of 5 years and my daughter of 3 years. I have been in the installation and repair field of garage doors for the last 6 years. I enjoy .....my PC!!!!!!! No, I enjoy comming home after a long 12 hours of manuel labor and spending time with my family and then my PC after my kids are in bed. I concider myself a avid gamer. Mostly war games because I like to blow things up and vent my days frustration on some stupid AI opponents..lol. I love to play a game or two against my brother who lives in Oklahoma City of which can be played over dial up. The list of good games that fit the dial up descrption are getting slimmer and slimmer...lol Must get DSL!!! Anywho, that is my into. I will respectfully bow out now and hit the sack.

Welcome aboard... I agree, it is nice to finally have a group of people that can just have fun, be down-to-earth and still be helpful all at the same time!

Welcome Scott.....I'm blown away by the kind words. You've brought up the biggest reason we created HL. A place where everyone will feel welcome, where you can ask questions without being flamed, learn from some cool people, and have a lot of fun with a bunch of seriously goofy people. I'm really proud of the community we are building....I've honestly never met a finer bunch of people in my life.

Enjoy what the site has to offer, feel free to pitch in with ideas, and by all means....tell your friends about us

welcome bandit! Sounds like you are pretty close to my age... I am almost 29 (birthday is VERY soon), married for 5.5 years with a 4.5 year old daughter... my main time online is about the time the daughter is in bed or if I get a few minutes at work (a christian ISP).

anytime you have a question or answer, feel free to chime in!

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Can't believe I've missed this thread until now! Welcome to the forums Bandit. Your attitude is what this place is all about. Capper may have started the ball rolling, but it's folks like you and so many others here that make this place what it truly is. A starting point for everyone, no matter their experience level.
